Hello!

This summer has seemed to fly by…

I can’t believe it is already August 5, just 25 days ’til we leave. Although the countdown of dates gets smaller and smaller my list of things I need to accomplish keeps getting longer and longer. Who knew that we would need so much stuff? From phone service to medications, from clothes to credit cards, I am beginning to wonder how we are going to fit everything into two suitcases (especially all our shoes). One thing that I am able to cross off the list is creating a website so friends and family can keep up with us when we are on the other side of the world!

Welcome to MiPiaceFormaggio:

You may be wondering what this means and why we chose it as our URL. It has become a running joke over the last year once we found out that we were going to travel to Italy. As of right now it is the only phrase we know in Italian… It means I like cheese. I don’t know how far this will get us but luckily we know a few vocab words that we can exchange for cheese. Two examples are vino and pizza. This might get us a little bit further in conversations and ordering a restaurants but hopefully our Elementary Italian class will get us fluent in no time!

Just like the growing list, the butterflies in my stomach have seemed to double. We are so blessed and feel so fortunate for this opportunity. We can’t wait to share our adventures with all of you!
